What kinds of student loans are
available?
ACAOM offers the usual Federal Direct
Stafford Loans as managed by the U.S. Department of Education. It comes in
three types—Direct PLUS loan, Direct Unsubsidized Loan, and Direct Subsidized
Loan. The Direct Unsubsidized loan is available for all, including graduate and
professional students.
Who is eligible to receive financial
aid?
The American College of Acupuncture
& Oriental Medicine says that a person must be a citizen or a permanent
resident of the country to be admitted to the college. They must also be
enrolling for a minimum of six credits and making satisfactory academic
progress.
How much can I borrow, and do I have to
pay any loan fees?
The unsubsidized loan has a cap of
$10,250 per semester. Since ACAOM operates three semesters a year, students can
borrow up to three times that amount. The PLUS loan has a loan fee of 4%, and
unsubsidized loans have a regular charge of 1%.
How can I apply for a loan?
The American College of Acupuncture
